With the release of the Zara Table Runner pattern this Friday(9/20!), I am delighted to share some colorways that have been circling my mind. I’m always fascinated by the difference that color can make to the feel of a design. I hope that you are able to find something that speaks to you and potentially inspires your next project!
Earth Tones
It’s the season of crunchy leaves, pumpkin spice, football games, soup, and your favorite comfort show. What’s not to love? I often find myself drawn to warm colors in the autumn, especially since they seem to capture the vibrant show of nature happening outside my window.
Camelot Fabrics
While I am someone that adores bright and playful colors, I am also deeply in love with earth tones. My husband and I spent the first six years of our marriage living in Idaho, and I can wholeheartedly say that the views of a mountain pass in the fall cannot be beat. There’s something about the cool blue of the mountains paired with orange, yellow, and brown leaves that makes my soul sing! Can you see the inspiration in this colorway?

Jewel Tones
Opinion: Jewel tones are majorly underrated. While I’d argue that they are perfect year round, I find myself especially drawn to them in the fall and winter. I feel like I never see jewel tones receive the love that they deserve, so why not throw a few fabric pull ideas here?
Camelot Fabrics
These Camelot Fabrics Fresh Solids are perfectly bold if you’re looking to make a statement piece. In the best way, these fabrics remind me of the late 80’s/early 90’s. Most notably, the 90’s Lion King bedsheets that circulated our household for decades.

Okay, I have to include a second rendering for Camelot Fabrics, because LOOK! This colorway was inspired by sapphires and emeralds, my two favorite jewels. I love the depth that the deep green and navy blue provide, paired with the pastel sage and sky blues that seamlessly blend the two colors.

Imagine this: Your Christmas tree is lit and glowing warmly. You’re wearing your coziest sweater. Snow is gently falling outside while you sit by the fire and sip the best hot chocolate you’ve ever had. You’re hand quilting a Zara Table Runner. Life is good.
Too much? I don’t think so. 😆🎄 I hope that some of my favorite seasonal colorways will inspire your most festive project yet.

I don’t know about you, but I’m a big fan of traditional Christmas colors. If you’re a fan like me, then I have a feeling that you’ll love this next colorway. I love a subtle pink to compliment red and greens, so I know that it had to make its way in somehow. I love how the pink nestles its way right into the piano key border, blending the bright reds and greens. So timeless!
